dc.description.abstractWith an aim to elevate the functional experiential grammar up to a higher wording level – text, the study tries to build an applied model for experiential text analysis. Following the model, a quantitative and qualitative analysis into news and editorials is made in order to find out the remarkable features of the data. The study is designed in the qualitative and quantitative approaches in contrastive analysis between English and Vietnamese and between news and editorials. The writer’s attempt can be noted in explaining the linguistic choices to represent the experience world in different languages and different kinds of texts. What is done in the study may be considered as a contribution to the expansion of experiential grammar.en_US
