dc.description.abstractThis study investigates linguistic expressions of interpersonal meanings in Nhat ky Dang Thuy Tram and their translational equivalents in Last night, I Dreamed of Peace. The study focuses on analyzing the expressions of mood, modality, vocatives denoting interpersonal meanings and interpersonal grammatical metaphors. On the basic of the corpus collected from Nhat ky Dang Thuy Tram and its English version Last night, I Dreamed of Peace, the mood, modality and vocative expressions of interpersonal meaning are described and analyzed in order to help readers have more understandings on the interpersonal meaning in Nhat ky Dang Thuy Tram. On the basic of the findings, some implications are put forward for the teaching and learning English for Vietnamese learners. Finally, suggestions for further study are made for anyone that is interested in this problem to continue studying to perfect this researchen_US
