dc.description.abstractThe study examined the stylistic features of some commonly used stylistic devices in English and Vietnamese economic newspapers. Besides, the thesis investigated the frequencies of occurrences, the similarities and differences of the stylistic devices commonly used in English and Vietnamese economic newspapers. The data of the study were collected from famous newspapers on the internet. The data were described and analyzed on the stylistic aspects under the qualitative and quantitative approaches to yield more precise points on stylistic devices in economic language. On a close analysis, the thesis tried to find out some commonly used stylistic devices in English and Vietnamese economic newspapers, namely simile, personification, and metonymy. With a hope of contributing to better teaching and learning English as a foreign language, especially to better awareness of learners in translating and writing an interesting economic article, some suggested ideas were also included.en_US
