Abstract: The purpose of the present paper was to investigate the syntactic, pragmatic of repetition used in Talk Asia Shows on CNN channel. The paper has also shown that repetition serves as a significant means of making a text a cohesive entity. It has been proved that repetition is not only connected with separate utterances but also with larger spans of discourse and, therefore, is considered to be a cohesive element of joining sentences and paragraphs. The cohesive nature of repetition ensures the structural production of a whole text, enabling the reader to interpret it from the syntactic and pragmatic. Furthermore, repetition performs the function of joining larger spans of discourse in the conversations. In the paper repetition is realized through the intertexual features in the Talk Shows. In addition to that, the pragmatic and syntactic of repetition in the intertextual communication between different texts immensely facilitate the process of apprehending the message, i.e. the political, social, ideological and psychological aspects of a talk show. The material of analysis has been taken from the Talk Shows. It has been demonstrated that the nature of repetition is better understood with the help of interconnected concepts of pragmatics and syntactic which play a crucial role in identifying and conceiving the multidimensional syntactic character and functions of repetition in Talk Shows.
