Abstract: | The aim of this thesis is to investigate syntactic and cohesive features of irregular sentences, especially fragmentary sentences or the so-called elliptical sentences without change of speaker in English and Vietnamese. More importantly, it also finds out and explains the similarities and differences in the use of fragmentary sentences in English and Vietnamese to help learners improve their writing skills as well as in learning and practising irregular sentences |
