| Abstract: | This paper reports a study on the syntactic and pragmatic features of Rejection in English and Vietnamese. The data of the study were collected from many stories, novels, books, film scripts; then they were described and analyzed to show that there are several similarities and differences of rejection in English and Vietnamese in term of syntax and pragmatics. The results have provided practical implications in language teaching and learning of rejection for English and Vietnamese learners |
