| Abstract: | The thesis is designed to investigate English and Vietnamese temporal adverbs in cognitive semantic perspective. Via this analysis the study aims at identifying the similarities and the differences of the uses of temporal adverbs to denote time relation and then finding the factors affecting those choices.This reacher is also ntended to present an account the semantics of English and Vietnamese temporal adverbs.
