| Abstract: | This research aims at analyzing some syntactic features and exploring some pragmatic features of parallelism in English and Vietnamese in order to have a good insight into parallelism. Syntactically, the study tries to focus on the forms of parallelism in political speeches in both languages. Pragmatically, the study attempts to point out the illocutionary force of parallelism in political speeches in English and in Vietnamese. |
