| Abstract: | This study is confined to the syntactic and semantic features of sports headings in English and Vietnamese which focus mainly on those used in sports newspapers on football through the analysis of the data collected from newspapers, sport magazines in English and Vietnamese. The deep investigation into the relationships between the content in the sports headings and the body of the commentaries is not the goal of this study. |
